Acceptable use policy
These rules apply to everyone who uses Nearwick, including businesses that add or manage a page. They are part of the terms of use.

Be honest
- Only add or claim a business you own or run, or are allowed to act for.
- Give accurate details, and keep them up to date.
- Do not pretend to be a business or a person you are not.
- Do not add a business that does not exist.
What you add
- Only add what you have the right to share. Do not copy someone else’s text without permission.
- Do not add anyone’s personal details without their permission.
- Do not add anything unlawful, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit or misleading.
- Do not use your page to advertise other businesses, or to link to harmful sites.
Using the site
- Do not try to break into Nearwick, get around its limits, or interfere with how it works.
- Do not send malware, or anything else designed to harm people or computers.
- Do not copy large parts of Nearwick by automated means, or send so many requests that it slows down for others. This does not limit what the OpenStreetMap licence lets you do with OpenStreetMap data.
- Do not collect contact details from Nearwick to send people messages they did not ask for.
- Do not use the contact form or safety reports to send spam or false reports.
If you find a security problem, please tell us instead of testing it further.
If the rules are broken
We may remove or edit content, stop showing a listing, or suspend or close an account. Where the law requires it, we report matters to the authorities.
Where we can, we tell the person affected what we did and why.
Reporting a problem
Use “Report a concern” on a business’s page, or the contact form.
If anyone is in danger now, call your local emergency number. In Ghana that is 112, and in Canada 911.
