About Nearwick

Nearwick, at nearwick.com, is a business directory for every country. It is owned and operated by Facio Innovations Technology (“Faciotech”), registered in Ghana and Canada. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Faciotech, and “you” means anyone who uses Nearwick.

Each business page shows what has been checked and when. Nearwick has no star ratings, no scores and no rankings for payment.

A request service that matches customers with tradespeople in Ghana and Canada is not open yet. These terms will be updated before it opens.

Using Nearwick

You can search and read Nearwick without an account. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Nearwick.

Nearwick is not directed at children under 16.

The information on Nearwick

Business pages are built from a licensed business directory dataset, from OpenStreetMap, from businesses’ own public websites and from what businesses tell us. Where listings come from explains each source.

Every detail carries a date. A page marked Unclaimed has not been confirmed by the business, and its details may have changed since the date shown.

A check records that one test was done on one date. It is not a recommendation. It does not mean a business is good at what it does or safe to deal with. Nearwick does not endorse any business.

Before you rely on a detail, such as opening hours, check it with the business.

If you manage a business

You can add a business, claim its page and edit it. The claiming and managing a listing policy explains how.

You may only manage a business you own or run, or are allowed to act for. What you add must be accurate and yours to share. You are responsible for it.

You keep any rights you have in what you add. You allow us to show it on your business’s page and elsewhere on Nearwick, such as in search results, for as long as it is there. You can change or remove it at any time.

We review every new listing and every claim before it goes live. We may decline or remove anything that breaks these terms.

Your account

Business owners sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address. There is no password. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure.

If you think someone else has used your account, tell us.

Rules for everyone

Do not misuse Nearwick. The acceptable use policy lists what is not allowed, and it is part of these terms.

Our content and other people’s

Nearwick’s design, text and software belong to Faciotech or are used with permission.

Some listing data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence 1.0. Town names come from GeoNames, under CC BY 4.0. Sources and licences lists these, and the photos we use.

Business names, logos and descriptions belong to the businesses.

You may link to any public page on Nearwick.

Links to other websites

Business pages link to businesses’ own websites and to maps on OpenStreetMap. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

Changes to Nearwick

We may change, pause or stop any part of Nearwick. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes.

Our responsibility to you

Nearwick is provided as it is. We are not responsible for what a business does or does not do, or for any arrangement you make with one. Your dealings with a business are between you and the business.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on a listing, or from using or being unable to use Nearwick.

Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

Suspending or ending access

We may remove content, stop showing a listing, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we tell the person affected what we did and why.

You can stop using Nearwick at any time. To close your account, contact us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. This does not take away any protection you have under the law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using Nearwick after a change, the updated terms apply.
