Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones Nearwick uses and how to change your choices.

Cookies Nearwick needs
These keep people signed in and remember your cookie choices. They are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
nearwick_owner | Keeps a business owner signed in. | Up to 30 days, or until they sign out |
nearwick_staff | Keeps Nearwick staff signed in to the console. | Up to 12 hours, or until they sign out |
nw_consent | Remembers your cookie choices. | 6 months |
The sign-in cookies are set only when someone signs in, and a page’s scripts cannot read them.
Analytics cookies, only if you agree
Nothing is measured unless you agree. You choose for each purpose separately, and nothing is ticked for you. If you do not agree to a purpose, its cookies are not set.
- Usage statistics count which pages are visited and how the site is used. We use Google Analytics and Mixpanel for this.
- Session recordings and heatmaps show how people move around a page. We use Microsoft Clarity for this.
| Purpose | Service | Cookies |
|---|---|---|
| Usage statistics | Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* |
| Usage statistics | Mixpanel | mp_* |
| Session recordings and heatmaps | Microsoft Clarity | _clck, _clsk |
Mixpanel may also use your browser’s local storage for the same purpose. Each service decides how long its cookies last. The privacy policies of Google, Microsoft and Mixpanel explain how long they last and how the data is used.
Saved and recently viewed businesses
Nearwick uses your browser’s local storage for two on-device features. A business is added to “Recently viewed” when you open its page. A business is added to “Saved businesses” only when you choose its bookmark.
These lists stay in that browser and are not sent to Nearwick or used for analytics. You can remove saved businesses with the bookmark button and clear both lists by deleting Nearwick’s site data in your browser.
Changing your choices
Choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or change your cookie choices here. You can agree to a purpose, or withdraw your agreement, at any time. Withdrawing stops that service from then on.
You can also delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you delete nw_consent, Nearwick no longer knows your choices, and nothing is measured until you choose again.
