About us
While in the depths of the global pandemic, in early 2021, the minds behind Mega Zipline made it our goal to develop an attraction in Iceland that gave visitors a dose of adrenaline and a unique view of the country’s stunning natural landscape. Hveragerði was chosen as the location of the endeavour due to its proximity to Reykjavík and the growing community of tourism operators in the town, establishing Reykjadalur as one of Iceland’s most popular travel destinations. Mega Zipline is owned by companies and individuals who are passionate about creating a world-class attraction in Iceland, each bringing their own extensive experience in Icelandic tourism to the table. The project is led by Hallgrímur Kristinsson, a multi-talented mountaineer and pioneer in Icelandic tourism.
