About us
At Regional Wines, we are so much more than just your local beverage purveyors. In store or online, you’ll discover a hub of people, passion and education around the marvellous craft of fine drinks and, of course, a huge and diverse range of wine, beer and spirits. Regional Wines was established by the late great Grant Jones back in 1987. Originally it was a wholesale distributor of wines to Wellington restaurants, but Grant was a man with a real entrepreneurial flair and established the shop we currently occupy in 1990 adding beer and spirits to the range. Since then, Regional Wines has become one of New Zealand’s largest and best independent liquor businesses, keeping our regulars quenched with our extensive instore and online range and weekly tasting events. Our team of beverage experts know a hefeweizen from a witbier, and it’s likely that if you’re after something obscure and are struggling to find it anywhere else, we’re your ticket.
