Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (MEETH) is a specialized center that focuses on high-quality care for eye, ear and throat conditions—but that's not all we do. We provide advanced treatments for thousands of patients each year, offering a range of services and expert care. And to say we’re pioneers is an understatement. We have an extraordinary history of firsts. We opened the first allergy clinic in 1916, performed the first modern cataract surgery in 1967, opened the first cochlear implant center in 1983, and most recently, performed the first insertion of the Baha Attract hearing device in 2013. And that’s just to name a few. The mission of MEETH is to deliver outstanding health care with compassion and respect, to promote wellness in its communities and to advance the field of medicine through education and research. We seek excellence in all endeavors, aspiring to provide premier services to a diverse patient population and to nurture an environment in which health care professionals and staff can learn and thrive.
