About us
Rooted in care, and a genuine love of tea, teastore began in 1996 as a small specialty tea shop in downtown Ottawa, in the historic ByWard Market. What started as a place to buy quality tea, gradually became something more. A friendly community space, a place to learn about tea, explore new flavors, and feel at ease. Surrounded by the everyday rhythm of the neighborhood, teastore became a part of daily life in the Byward Market. Customers drop by as they wander through the market, visitors discover the shop while exploring, and new blends quietly find their place in routine moments.
