Football is where we start, but transformation is what we build. Founded in Sunyani, Ghana, Forsports Foundation uses sport as a vehicle for education, health, gender equality, and lasting community impact. Founded in 2005 in Sunyani, Forsports Foundation was established by Ghanaian-Irish social impact leader Christopher Forsythe as a community-based football initiative inspired by early engagement with Glentoran Football Club in Northern Ireland. What began as a grassroots effort to create access to football for disadvantaged young people gradually evolved into a structured academy providing coaching, mentorship, and safe spaces for children and young people in underserved communities. From the outset, the work was shaped by a simple but persistent reality: access to opportunity is not equal. For many young people, sport became an entry point for structure, discipline, confidence, and belonging, particularly in environments where wider support systems were limited.
