The ORC functions as a statutory body responsible for registering all business types and offering sensitization and education programs. It maintains corporate information records. Professional Bodies pursuant to the Professional Bodies Registration Act, 1973 (N.R.C.D. 143), other than Professional Bodies established by an Act of the Parliament Registration is only part of the mandate — the ORC also regulates compliance and keeps businesses and the public informed.
