Why there are no star ratings
Stars and scores hide what actually happened. Nearwick shows dated facts instead.
Nearwick has no star ratings, no scores and no rankings anyone can pay for. That is a deliberate choice.
Why
A star rating squeezes many different things into one number. You cannot see who gave it, when, or what it was about. Ratings can be bought, faked or left by people who never used the business.
Instead, each page shows facts with dates. You can see what was checked, when it was checked and how old the details are. Then you decide what matters to you. What the dates on a business page mean.
What this means for businesses
No business can pay to appear higher in a list. Buying a Faciotech product never adds a check to a business’s page, and never puts it in the Featured row.
Some directory pages have a row of featured businesses. It is always labelled Featured, and it never changes the order of any listing. Featured listings policy.
